Call For Presentations: Share Your Knowledge And
Guide The Byway Community To New Heights (Closed)
America’s Byways Resource Center and the Federal Highway Administration invited experts on byway-related topics to submit proposals to speak with the byway community at the 2009 National Scenic Byways Conference, August 23-26, 2009 in Denver, Colorado.
We sought experienced and knowledgeable instructors, leaders, researchers and professionals to contribute within five core learning areas critical to byway success and sustainability:
- Finances
- Corridor management
- Visitor experience
- Byway organization
- Marketing
Proposals for roundtable discussions, workshops, presentations, or best-practices forums should have been geared to help achieve our 2009 conference goals:
1. Highlight opportunities to improve and sustain byways.
2. Instill a high sense of responsibility among byway practitioners.
3. Provide an important networking opportunity for the byway community.
An all-new format in 2009 put even more emphasis on learning opportunities that complement byway interests, issues and missions.
Deadline for submitting a conference presentation proposal has passed. Thank you for your interest.
