Mark works for the USDA Forest Service at the America’s Byways Resource Center. His position is funded through an Interagency Agreement with the USDA Forest Service, USDI Bureau of Land Management, Federal Highway Administration, and the America’s Byways Resource Center.

His responsibilities include:

• Assisting in strengthening the partnership between the America’s Byways Resource Center and the Federal land management agencies participating in the National Scenic Byways Program
• Better integrating the Federal Lands Scenic Byways Program into the National Scenic Byways Program
• Providing technical assistance and support to Federal land management agency byway program managers
• Encouraging information sharing, coordination and collaboration across Federal byway programs

Mark enjoys spending time with his wife, Lucy, and son, Michael. He especially looks forward to hiking and exploring the trails in northeast Minnesota.
