Grassroots Hospitality Trainers Help You Prepare Locals For Byway Visitors

Are the locals along your byway ready for summer visitors? Are they equipped with knowledge of all aspects of the byway and able to convey the appropriate messages to travelers? With vacation season upon us, now is a great time to contact one of our certified Grassroots Byways Hospitality Trainers.

Using the Scenic Byway Award-winning Colorado Grassroots Hospitality Training Program, certified trainers teach byway representatives how to train locals, including visitor center staff and volunteers; front-line hotel, restaurant and retail employees; and other members of the community who regularly interact with travelers. They are trained about all aspects of the local byway, from the byway’s interpretive message to current resource protection strategies.

Certified trainers provide a learning experience tailored to the individual byway, helping byway leaders to: develop quiz questions; create mapping exercises; and identify learning activities.

Our 22 certified trainers have helped over 30 byway groups. Click here to find a trainer near you.
