The Right Tools for the Job
How do you hang pictures on a wall? The proper way is to measure your wall space and the pictures, especially if you are hanging more than one frame.
Next, determine exactly how high to hang the picture and account for the hanging device. Don’t forget to determine the appropriate distance between each frame. Or you can do it my way. Find any old nail in the junk drawer. Convince your son that the hammer really is yours. Hold the picture up to the wall by yourself. Announce “It’s perfect.” Then hope for the best.
With multiple nail holes beneath my pictures, I can say with confidence that using the proper tools is the better method.
At the America’s Byways Resource Center, we have the right tools for your byway. Do you have a historic property in need of preservation? Are you interested in economic impact of designation? Or do you want to write a winning grant? Check the “Topics” section of our website or look under “Contacts” for your Byways Specialist.
Whether you have your tools in place and need a little expert advice (we can hold the ruler for you!) or you just can’t decide which tool is right for the job, give us a call. We’ll help you find a picture-perfect approach.
Hang on, let me get a nail.
