The "Grand Quest" Adds Networking Opportunities At 2007 Conference
The new “Grand Quest” networking activity gives everyone attending the 2007 National Scenic Byways Conference in Baltimore, Maryland a reason to meet, mingle and learn about byways and Baltimore.
“It’s like a scavenger hunt, but better,” explained Michelle Johnson, Director of America’s Byways Resource Center. “We’ve included a question about every byway and created queries that require interaction with guests, staff, exhibitors and sponsors. It’s a bit addicting once you start.”
Each conference attendee receives one Quest Card in the registration package to begin the fun. The player brings a completed card to the Quest Desk in the Exhibit Hall to receive a button for the tote and a prize (while supplies last). The activity includes six Quests, each with multiple variations. Guests who complete all six Quests will be entered in a drawing to win the Grand Prize, a TomTom ONE handheld GPS unit. One name will be drawn at Wednesday’s Closing Reception (must be present to win). Complete instructions are included in the conference program.
“I’ve been to conferences where people who already know each other stay grouped together and nobody meets new people. We’re excited to help break the ice with the Grand Quest,” added Michelle.
