Exciting Changes At The America's Byways Resource Center
Michelle Johnson has been appointed Director of the America’s Byways Resource Center effective September 16, 2005. Michelle’s strong leadership as Deputy Director since the inception of the Resource Center in 1998 has contributed to the success and growth of the byway community. Her creativity, high energy, management skills and ability to work with partners on a national level will ensure that the byway community continues to receive the assistance it needs to enhance and strengthen the byways.
Henry Hanka will continue to serve the byways community in the new role of Special Projects Manager. In this role Henry will be focusing on accomplishing new congressional mandates set forth in recent legislation. Henry’s past accomplishments and experience will aid in the development of new projects that further the vision of the National Scenic Byways Program.
