Resource Center Publishes "From Milestones to Mile-markers: Understanding Historic Roads"
America’s Byways Resource Center is excited to announce its newest publication, From Milestones to Mile-markers: Understanding Historic Roads. This resource is the result of a collaboration between America’s Byways Resource Center and the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
From Milestones to Mile-markers provides information to help local byway organizations understand and manage a scenic byway with historic intrinsic qualities and resources. This publication will help you to identify a historic road, define the elements that make it historic and determine the appropriate course of action.
State Scenic Byways Coordinators and National Scenic Byway Leaders have received copies and may request a limited number of additional copies. Byway representatives who are interested in receiving a copy of this publication should contact their State Coordinator.
